Georgia Newborn Photographer
When a newborn baby comes into my studio fast asleep usually means I may have a wide-eyed baby in no time at all. Parents are sent a preparation packet to help them before our session. I use “baby whisperer” techniques to either help babies stay asleep or to get them back to sleep. One of those techniques is white noise and the Baby Shusher is the best thing since sliced bread ya’ll. I am contemplating giving one away to each of my newborn clients. Almost every client asks what that magical device is and how they can get their hands on one. Newborns are sometimes very alert and curious and don’t want to miss a thing! And that’s ok too 🙂 Some of my favorite newborn baby images have direct eye contact and are wide-eyed and bushy-tailed.
When this little munchkin arrived he was snoozing away in his car seat. I think I got through only a few poses before he decided that he didn’t want to miss any of the action for our session. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. If every baby was able to be lulled, shushed, and cradled back to sleep, there wouldn’t be a sleep-deprived new mom out there, right? Babies need to burn some calories and have some awake time too. And I am more than ok with that. That usually means that baby will fall into a deeper sleep to get those nice, squishy poses everyone just loves.
The blue bonnet is from a wonderful chic right here in the great state of GA. Go check out her big cartel site Riley’s Mom Makes Hats.
He was pretty much done with me at this point.
What’s up ladies?? 🙂
